General Information
TERMIDOR 100SC will control ants by direct contact and residual activity on treated surfaces. When applied as a surface spray as directed, TERMIDOR 100SC will give up to 3 months control of ants and is best applied as ant activity increases in early spring. A follow up application during summer may be required. Do NOT apply more than two TERMIDOR 100SC applications per year for ant control.
Direction for Use
Note: Read and follow the precautions for use.
Mixing
Half fill the spray tank with water and then add the required quantity of TERMIDOR 100SC. Stir and then top up the spray tank to the required volume. DO NOT use this product in a tank mix with other insecticides as the behaviour and efficacy of the product may be affected. Ensure equipment is free of leaks and clean from residues of other chemicals before mixing TERMIDOR The use of a sprayer dedicated for the application of TERMIDOR 100SC is recommended.
Handling
This product must be under the personal control of an APPROVED HANDLER during use in a wide dispersive manner or by a commercial contractor.
Transport
Do NOT carry this product on a passenger service vehicle.
Spillage
Prevent any product from entering drains. Wear appropriate protective clothing. Absorb spill with an inert material (such as vermiculite, clay granules or synthetic absorbent) and place in a labelled, sealable container for disposal. Wash the spill area with water and detergent, then absorb the washings and place in the same sealable container. Dispose of the container in an approved landfill or under at least 50 cm of soil in a non-crop, non-pasture area away from water sources and homes.
Personal Protection
When opening the container, preparing spray and using the spray mix, wear chemical resistant clothing, buttoned to the neck and wrist, a washable hat, boots, impervious gloves, and goggles or face shield.
General Safety and Hygiene Measures
Avoid contact with skin or inhalation of spray mist. Wash splashes of concentrate from skin and eyes immediately. Do NOT eat, drink or smoke while using this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. Remove protective clothing and wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water before meals and after work. After each day's use, wash gloves, contaminated clothing, and face protection. Store work clothing separately.
Use
Before spraying advise residents to remove pets from the area to be treated. Cover or remove (as applicable) fish ponds, aquariums, bird cages, and open food and water containers before spraying. Do NOT allow residents, children, other persons or pets into the immediate area during application. Doors and windows adjacent to the application site must be closed during surface application. Apply the spray with well-maintained and accurately calibrated equipment. An inspection should be carried out after treatment to ensure that no spillages or leaks have occurred and if any are identified these must be cleaned up before leaving the application site. Do NOT allow people or pets to contact contaminated areas or to re-occupy contaminated areas until the clean up is completed. Avoid application onto or around edible plants.
Very toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do NOT spray onto or into water. Do NOT allow spray drift outside the treatment area to occur. Take care to avoid runoff. Do NOT apply if heavy rains are expected to occur within 48 hours of application. Very toxic to bees. Spray must NOT contact plants in flower if they are likely to be visited by bees. Clean out application equipment thoroughly after use. Do NOT contaminate drains or waterways when disposing of equipment wash waters.
Record Keeping
Records of use must be kept.

Storage, application and record keeping must be as described in the current version of the New Zealand Standard for the Management of Agrichemicals NZS8409.
First Aid
If swallowed do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth. For advice, contact the National Poisons Centre 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) or a doctor immediately. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If splashed in eyes, wash out immediately with water. If inhaled remove to fresh air immediately and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
Restraints
- Avoid runoff.
- Do NOT apply to excessively wet soils, immediately after or during heavy rain.
- Do NOT apply to edible crops.
- Do NOT apply at less than the label rate.
- Do NOT apply to internal/indoor surfaces.
Storage
Store in original container, tightly closed, in a cool, well ventilated area away from food, feedstuffs, animals, or fertilisers, and under lock and key. Do NOT store product or diluted spray mix in direct sunlight and protect from frost. Stores containing more than 100 litres require emergency response plans and secondary containment systems, and are subject to signage.
Disposal
Do NOT reuse or refill the container. Triple rinse empty container and add residue to the spray tank. Recycle through Agrecovery (0800 247 326, www.agrecovery.co.nz). Product: Do NOT dispose of undiluted product on site. Dispose of this product only by using according to the label or at an approved landfill. Do NOT burn product or empty container. Do NOT contaminate water supply with chemical or empty container.
Precautions
Harmful
May be harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. May cause damage to the nervous system from repeated oral exposure at high doses.
Very Toxic to Aquatic Organisms
Treatment runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighbouring areas.
Toxic to Terrestrial Vertebrates
Toxic to birds.
Very Toxic to Terrestrial Invertebrates
Re-entry
Do NOT enter treated areas until spray has dried.
